Terms

Last updated 2 September 2026

The short version: use FIREBIRD honestly, don't be cruel to anyone in it, and what you write stays yours.

These terms are between you and Striking Ventures LLC. Using FIREBIRD — the iPhone app or firebird.life — means you accept them.

Who can use it

You need to be 13 or older. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission. One account per person; don't share your account with anyone.

What you put in stays yours

Your goals, challenges, receipts and journal are your content. We don't claim ownership of any of it. You give us only the permission we need to run the service — storing it, showing it back to you, and showing a shared challenge's receipts to the other people in that challenge. Nothing more. We don't use your content to train anything, and we don't sell it.

If you delete your account, we delete your content from our servers. See the privacy page for exactly what is stored where.

What you can't do

FIREBIRD lets people in a shared challenge see each other's check-ins and reply to them. That makes a few things off limits:

Reporting, and what happens next

Report anything from inside the app — the menu on a check-in, or hold a comment. You can block the person at the same time; you'll stop seeing each other entirely, and neither of you can comment on the other's check-ins.

Anything urgent, email hello@firebird.life. A person reads it, usually within a day. We'll remove content that breaks these rules and can suspend or remove an account for it. If we get it wrong, reply and tell us — we'll look again.

The assistant

FIREBIRD's assistant is a language model. It gets things wrong, and it will occasionally mishear you or file something under the wrong challenge — everything it produces is editable for that reason. It isn't medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. If you're struggling, please talk to someone qualified.

Paying

FIREBIRD is currently free. If we introduce a paid tier we'll say so clearly before anything is charged, and anything you've already made stays yours either way. Purchases made through the App Store are handled and refunded by Apple under their terms.

Stopping

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, and it takes effect immediately. We can close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless doing so would put someone at risk.

The boring but necessary part

FIREBIRD is provided as-is. We work hard on it, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.

Changes

If we change these terms materially we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always says when this was last revised.
